Pastor Stephen E. King
Stephen is the directing pastor for the San Jose and Mason City United Methodist Churches. He seeks to be available to minister to spiritual needs of those in his congregation and communities. Stephen has a heart for those who seek to grow in their spiritual understanding and love for God. He is open to questions and discussion about any issue that is important to you. Biography: Stephen grew up on a farm in Southern Illinois where he came to love the out of doors and appreciate all of God's creation. He is the oldest of six children. In 1974 he married Janet and they have two children and three grandchildren. Stephen enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, riding horses with Janet, and fishing. Called into ministry later in life, Stephen has many valuable life experience from an everyday person's perspective and thus brings a down to earth heart for people and God.
Church Secretary Janet King
Janet has served in the church office since October 2008 where she assists Pastor and volunteers with ministry and worship. Janet publishes the church newsletter, maintains our website, keeps church records, and coordinates office responsibities throughout the week.
Office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - noon and other times by appointment. Janet loves the Lord and believes in the church as a means of grace and an important place to grow in our faith and love for God.
